This past week we attended the Christmas party at Marie's future school (she starts Jan 5th). We had a good time. Sarah met the teacher and assistant teachers, we met some other parents, and generally became confident that this school will be a very good fit for Marie (and sometimes Sarah) to spend their last 5 weeks in Thailand.
Part of the Christmas party was an appearance by Santa. We had pre-arranged that Santa would give Marie a baby doll...
Anyway, this was the scariest Santa I had ever seen. His coat was barely closed and his blue shirt was popping through. He had rediculous gloves on. But the worst part was the gray dreadlock wig contrasted with the gleaming white super-fake beard. I think Marie's polite smile and body language says it all...this was as close as she would get to this guy...
